Salisbury Chapter House with Magna Carta

The Magna Carta is held in the Chapter House at Salisbury Cathedral. This is where the 'Chapter' met in the medieval period. They were the Cathedral's management team as well as discussing wider religious issues. The Chapter House was built in the 1260's. This is a good example of English Gothic Architecture. You only see 3 sets of windows here but these enormous and beautiful stained glass windows continued around the Chapter House on all sides apart from the entry. The Magna Carta is housed in the centre.
